Welcome back to all of our Asking Alexandria fans and to those that may be a little upset about the changes in the bands style.
Yesterday, Asking Alexandria released their latest single from their new album 'Like A House on Fire'. The single itself was titled 'House on Fire' and we think you should give it a try. Yes, it's different, yes you it's an adjustment for us all, but it's worth a try, isn't it?
What are our thoughts on 'House on Fire' by Asking Alexandria'?
House on Fire sounds very similar to the style they did with their self-titled album, and to be honest we like it. Despite Asking Alexandria coming from heavier roots from albums such as Reckless & Relentless & Stand Up & Scream, they've adjusted their musical styles to reflect on who they are today.
Asking Alexandria will forever be known for the band with crazy drops & insane growls from Danny Worsnop, but we do have to remember bands do evolve and sometimes musicians artist styles change quite considerably.
The new single is all about trying to achieve your life long dreams but you keep watching it fall away, just like a house on fire. It's about reflecting on what you want to achieve and that you always keep falling back on the same excuses and not pushing yourself to achieve your dreams.
This is what people don't really realise, Asking Alexandria aren't angry teenagers anymore, they're a grown up & mature band, who do still have heavy elements, but just not what you're used to. They're trying to put a message across to help inspire generations and to be honest, they're succeeding.
Of course nothing will compare to their older albums, but their new music to date is still amazing and they will forever continue to create music that will inspire us all with every release.
What would we give 'House on Fire' out of 10?
