ROD STEWARD CHARGED WITH BATTERY
BBC News reported today that Sir Rod Stewart & his son Sean were both charged with "Simple Battery" after punching a security guard at a hotel in Florida, US.
The incident took place due to both Rod and Sean Stewart not being allowed entry to a private event on New Years Eve, in retaliation the pair punched a security guard. Security Guard Jessie Dixton said he saw a group of people trying to gain access at the check-in-table at the private events children table, according to Jessie, the group started to "get loud and cause a scene".
Sir Rod Stewart replied to these claims saying that Mr Dixton became argumentative with them after they was denied access to the private event, causing the family to become "agitated". The police report states that Rod Stewart apologised for his actions & that there was 2 other hotel employee's who wrote statements as witnesses which confirms Mr Dixtons side of events as well as video footage also confirming that Sean & Rod Stewart where infact the "Primary Aggressors".
The pair where charged & are due to appear in court at the Palm Beach Country Criminal Justice Complex on 5th February 2020.
A statement has not been released from Sir Rod Stewart, but did post on NYE:
