Video Nasties

That's right, we have some new music to share with you all! Liverpool based band "Video Nasties" have announced their debut album titled "Dominion" which is a record filled with horror themed heavy metal, a worship to John Carpenter who is known for the Halloween movie franchise. Sounds good to me!

The band bassist Rick Owen said that "There’s a lot of John Carpenter worship on Dominion. All of his scores are amazing. We tried to capture that same 80s Carpenter vibe with a lot of the melodies on the album. If you imagine taking Sepultura, Carcass and Entombed as main influence and then lacing it with the hooks of John Carpenter, The Cure, The Cult... Killing Joke etc. even through to the likes of Dead Kennedys and T.S.O.L. Big post punk, goth, rock influences in there.' "

The album is set to be released on APF Records on 13th March 2020, you can listen to their latest single "Drone Eagle" now which is currently on most streaming platforms, of which has been described by the bands bassist Rick Owen "Armageddon. We're going to hell in a hand basket, baby and there's nothing we can do to stop it. A demise driven by power, greed and corruption".

A little info about Video Nasties:

The band formed in 2017 featuring members of the likes of The Bendal Interlude, SSS, Magpyes and Iron Witch and went on to play Desert Fest in London last year. The band signed with APF Records in 2019 on Halloween and just to add a little more spookyness to it all, they will be releasing the full album on Friday 13th.
