What are our thoughts about "Use My Voice"?

The new single is exactly what we expected, bloody brilliant! The first 2 singles had us excited already, and now we're hardly sitting still, awaiting for the date that the album will be released.

As per usual, Amy Lee's incredible voice has blown us away into another dimension and honestly, this track throws us right back to the early 2000's, the same as the first 2 did as well.

The lyrics are incredible too, reading into it,

"Whether you like it or not, you're gonna take what I got
If we can't talk about it, we'll just keep drowning in it
Give me credit or not, I give a lot, give a lot
But don't you speak for me
No, don't you speak for me"

She's essentially taking a stand for herself, refusing to be silenced. Just like all of us should. Amy's lyrical genius has always been around and has always related to what many of us encounter daily.

"Never mind me, I'm a waste of your time
I'm never gonna fit in the box that you need and I can read between the lines, yeah
Gather your friends and wave your gun in my face
But I will use my voice"

The second line, is something that I can personally relate to. Never fitting in, but yet taking a stand and voicing my own opinions and doing what I want to say. Many of us suffer from pressure from our peers and put into situations we do not want to be in.

This is Amy's way of saying take a stand, be vocal and don't feel pressured into doing things you don't want to do. It's giving us empowerment which is what this song is all about.

Overall, Evanescence are back once more, and we're excited more than ever and cannot wait for their album to be released. Bring on more Evanescence!
