It is currently not yet publicly known as to how the guitarist has died and we ask that any of our readers respect the families & the bands privacy during this difficult time.
Derek Jones was a founding member of Falling in Reverse which formed in 2008 by Ronnie Radke who recruited Jones and, Jacky Vincent (F), Ryan Seaman(F), and Mika Horiuchi(F) whilst he was in Prison until his release in 2010.
Prior to Falling in Reverse, Derek Jones was a member of A Smile From The Trenches since 2007. They released their self titled EP the same year and was also invited to the Vans Warped Tour. They went onto release their first studio album in 2009 "Leaving the Gambling for Vegas" which featured a cover song of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.
A Smile From The Trenches split shortly after Derek Jones left to fulfil his commitment to Falling in Reverse of which he remained in the band from 2008 - 2020 but did not release their first album until Ronnie's release in 2010 which was titled "The Drug In Me Is You" and signed with Epitaph Records.
