THE EDGE OF REASON COVERS "I'M NOT OKAY (I PROMISE)" BY MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

Author: Maria Perdersen

CALLING ALL KILLJOYS ACROSS THE WORLD!

The emotional post-hardcore/emocore rock band, from Regensburg, Germany, The edge of reason has made a cover of "my chemical romance - i'm not okay (i promise)" on the 22nd of May 2020!

The band was originally formed in 2012, and separated due to line up changes, but was reunited in 2016 and released their debut album "broken but not torn" in June 2017.

Since the vocalist Ro Seven, has to battle his inner demons every day, it is important for the band to reach out to people who are struggling with their lives and own demons.
They do their best to answer personal messages from their fans as fast and as often as possible.

The band is inspired by Escape the fate, falling in reverse, Bring me the horizon, and Twenty one pilots.

It has been noted that lead vocalist Ro Seven was inspired to cover this track as it has accompanied him throughout his youth due to similar experiences. The reunion of My Chemical Romance in 2019 inspired the band to cover the track and added their own unique emo-post hardcore vibe.

What are our thoughts about the new cover?
It is definitely a good cover.
The vocalists voice has an ability to hit a bit higher tunes without breaking, which adds a perfect symphony in the song.
The tunes are spot on, and you can no doubt, feel the fire and the passion in the band when they're rocking out together.
The vocalist has an amazing scream, his voice gets rough, and is truly incredible when it gets to the breaking point in a scream.
If you're into "my chemical romance" you should definitely give this cover a listen!
You will be surprised how well they're rocking out this song.

On top of the incredible cover by the band, they also did their very own homemade video during lock down which further added to the meaning & passion for this track.

How many skulls out of 10?

7/10
