How & When did Leaving Eden form?

Leaving Eden has been around for well over a decade. Co-founded by myself and Eve. Rick was in a previous band to Leaving Eden. Alyssa was at a gig and she wanted to play keys for us. The drum slot also  became available and Jake asked for it. I think every member of Leaving Eden are really top-notch musicians.

Where was the first place Leaving Eden performed?

Hmmmm… now let me think. I think we played with Disturbed an Airport in Massachusetts USA.

What inspired each of you to start music?

Well I can speak for myself. I think part of it is in the blood, both my Great Grandfathers had their own orchestras in Germany and Italy. There was always some kind of Organ or a piano around and I simply played that thing every day since I could walk. I went on to learn guitar, drums and bass. I wanted to experience it all.  I never Took a break or quit.

Latest Leaving Eden Album or Single release:

We have seven albums released worldwide. You can find those albums on all the normal platforms such as Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Amazon.

Our new album “Dream With Me” to be released in May, 2020, we were told it was the best pre-order for the label.

Dream With Me is Leaving Eden’s 7th Album to be released world wide and distributed by Dark Star Records/Sony/Universal.

In this album we got the best of both worlds, where again like our last 2 Albums, we were able to take all the time necessary to record and produce “Dream With Me” in Leaving Eden’s Studio. But then, to have One of the best Rock Engineers in the world as far as I’m concerned, Grammy Award Winning Engineer Johnny K. (Disturbed, Staind, Finger Eleven, 3 Doors Down, Megadeath, Sevendust, Plain White T’s, POP Evil, Trapt, Drowning Pool, Alien Ant Farm, and many more) for Final Mix and Mastering is my dream scenario!  I love working With Johnny, he’s a genuine connoisseur of great music with so much talent, it’s such a pleasure to call him my friend. We’ve worked together on other albums but this one, to have the freedom to dig deep and experiment with my own unique recording techniques and then to have Johnny put his final touches on it was a real treat!”

Dream With Me Official Video

(in a time of the Coronavirus)

By Leaving Eden

Alyssa and I wrote the title track “Dream with me“.  We loved the song when it was finished. We felt it was a great title for the Album.  The video has a connection to the coronavirus.

Will you be touring to support the new album? If so, when?

4. What is your song writing process?

We are actually booked through November however due to the Coronavirus everything has been put on hold.

So Normally we start in August recording however with the time we got, we started our next album. Alyssa co-wrote another song on our future album. I typically connect with the universal mind so to speak. I just listen and sometimes even go as far to say it could be another famous artist who passed.

I feel as though they want to continue writing songs and are always looking for vessels to do so. Call me nuts but ya never know. Sometimes the lyrics come first or vice versa.  Sometimes it all comes at once, maybe in a dream.

Live Performances

What’s your first thoughts when you get up on stage?

Who’s here, do we have a packed house, what’s the vibe like?  Everyone has excitement which can turn to anxiety. I like the excitement, gets ya high.

Where was the first venue you played?

The Rock Club, Lawrence Massachusetts, USA. What a packed house and we had a blast!

What is your most memorable moment from any live performances?

I think playing with people like dime bag and his brother Vinnie Paul, or Ronnie James Dio and Black Sabbath or Scott Weiland, where it’s impossible now to ever be able to share the stage with these great musicians ever again. Quite surreal.

Describe the atmosphere when you’re performing

Eve really takes control. She connects with the crowd in such a unique way. I always say Leaving Eden is best seen and heard live.  I consider the crowd my friends so it’s a party and we share in the event. We keep each other entertained. With the band being tight and confident, it makes for a good time.

What band would you like to perform with the most?

Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham. If he’s not in the band then I would choose a different band. Love their harmonies, love the song writing.

Will you be touring in the United Kingdom any time soon?
