Who are the members of Wasting Time? Mad Vlad (lead vocals & guitar), Mark (lead guitar), Mike (bass) and Mikey (drums)
How & When did Wasting Time form? Wasting Time was a project that Mad Vlad started in the early 2000s. The band went on a hiatus in 2009, but would become active again in 2017, when Mad Vlad had written a bunch of new songs and regained the itch to start performing again.
Where was the first place Wasting Time performed?
Wasting Time’s current lineup first performed in August 2017 for a Green Day after party to coincide with Green Day’s Toronto date on their Revolution Radio tour.
What inspired each of you to start music?
Vlad was exposed to a Russian singer named, Viktor Tsoi when he was 6 years old from his older brother, which led to Vlad recording vocal covers of Viktor’s songs. By Grade 6, he was introduced to the music of Green Day and The Offspring from a friend, which made him want to play guitar, and his mom would acquire one for him shortly after.
Mike raided his parents’ record collection at an early age and became obsessed with The Beatles. He always dreamed of playing music, but didn’t pursue it until he was 18 when a high school friend asked him to play bass for his band.

What inspired you to put together a new album & what it is all about?
The album entitled, “Once More Without Feeling” came to be from the most recent songs we’ve written that we felt were our best and displayed a musical progression. Mark had just joined us as our new lead guitarist shortly before recording started, which added a fresh new flavour to our sound. There is no definitive concept behind the album, a few of the songs were inspired by the blossoming of a new romance.
