WATCH: PREMIERE OF SQUEEZED LEMON HERE

DATE: 26TH AUGUST 2019

GET YOUR JUGS READY! WE HAVE SOME FRESH LEMONS TO SQUEEZE!

The Edge of Reason are releasing a new single 'Squeezed Lemon' and oh boy is it a fresh piece of music!

For lovers of Escape The Fate,  Falling in Reverse and Awake At Last this song is PERFECT for you! and let's be honest, even if you're not a fan of rock, you will still love this new track. Although, you may not know whether to dance or bang your head...

F*ck it! Do BOTH! Let's make it interesting! We shall call it the dance bang... or maybe not?

Anyways, let's get to the actual review of 'Squeezed Lemon'.

The songs lyrics will speak to pretty much everyone who listens to it.  When the song first opens they ask the question "Am I Pushing Myself To Much" which is a question that we all can relate to at some point throughout our lives. "Desire Unreachable Health" meaning that we all desire to be mentally or physically stable but sometimes it feels so far to achieve.

We asked The Edge of Reason what exactly is the song about and this is what they said:

"Are you sometimes overwhelmed by your life? Who is not? "Squeezed Lemon" is about being overwhelmed in life to achieve the things you have to achieve. The constant pressure to succeed and constant fear of failing cause many mental health problems these days. The feeling that bad things usually happen to oneself is omnipresent."

The start of the music video portrays an anxious character running a lemonade stand. He is approached by someone who appears to be his boss and is told he must sell a target amount of lemonade by the end of the day. To kick things off, the amount of lemonade sales his boss wants him to achieve are extremely un-realistic and would be a struggle for anyone to achieve. Not only that, all the way through the video the character struggles to sell the lemonade as every interaction he encounters always goes badly. This is to symbolise pressure and the struggles that everyone faces throughout life and what affect it has on our mental health.

The upcoming single and album is a huge step forward for The Edge of Reason as it was mastered by Joey Sturgis who actually mastered albums from bands such as Asking Alexandria's "Stand Up and Scream", "Death To Destiny" and "Reckless and Relentless" albums all of which put a stamp on Asking Alexandria's success in the music industry.

In addition to Joey Strugis brilliance, the video itself was created by David Grosser and the song was produced by Johannes Wenisch.

The band has also signed with German record label, STF-Records which also have bands such as Nightshade and Aegor.

We think this song & video speaks to a lot of us, if not all of us at some point in life.

'Squeezed Lemon' is set to be released on September 13th 2019.  The upcoming album 'Sting' is being released October 25th 2019.

The bands 'About page' will be released on the same date as the premiere of 'Squeezed Lemon'.

You can pre-save the single on Spotify and watch the YouTube premiere live with the band!

Am I pushing myself to much?

I am running against the wall

'Cause I'm not patient at all

Tell me am I out, out of touch?

Still disconnected from myself

Desire unreachable health

Sweaty hands, dizzy spell, dry mouth

Can't reach my glass of water

Am I going to be just another number?

The ironie

Your prophecy is killing me

I want to relish what I achieved

Awake from my deep slumber

The ironie

Your prophecy is killing me I want to leave – stay – leave

So tired I’m waiting for the salvific call

'Cause I'm not ready to fall

Oh my god I forgot to breathe

Sweaty hands, dizzy spell, dry mouth

Can't reach my glass of water

Am I going to be just another number?

The ironie

Your prophecy is killing me I want to relish what I achieved

Awake from my deep slumber

The ironie

Your prophecy is killing me I want to leave – stay – leave Just give me more caffeine

And I'll do what you want

When life gives me lemons I'd rather squeeze them in my hands

Than obey the rule to make lemonade
